Frequently asked

What is the Compare feature? +

Compare lets you run a head-to-head between any two public GitHub profiles. Each gets roasted independently, then both results are displayed side by side: scores, archetypes, strengths, and red flags. The winner is whoever scored higher. The result page has a shareable link so you can send it to the loser.

What is the Deep Roast? +

A premium one-time report (€2,99) that goes far beyond the free roast. You get 10 sections: DR·00 The Verdict (headline diagnosis, core problem, and the single fix to tackle first), DR·01 Priority Actions (repo-specific, ranked by score impact with estimates), DR·02 Repo Drilldown (per-repo code quality signals and weaknesses), DR·03 Recruiter Take (simulated first impression with confidence vs. doubt signals), DR·04 Your Copy Kit (copy-ready GitHub bio, featured repo description, and README intro — just paste), DR·05 Profile Visibility Audit (scored audit with quick wins), DR·06 Benchmark vs Archetype Peers (percentile ranking among developers with your archetype), DR·07 Stack Market Fit (demand level, biggest market risk, highest-leverage skill), DR·08 Before You Apply (checklist of urgent fixes with time estimates), and DR·09 30-Day Plan. The report is delivered via a private link tied to your purchase.

Is the roast actually mean? +

Honest, not cruel. Direct and occasionally funny. Think code review from a candid senior dev who genuinely wants you to improve. The goal is insight, not humiliation.

What does the score measure? +

A composite of repo activity, language diversity, original vs forked work, star counts, follower count, contribution frequency, and account maturity. Capped at 100. Not peer-reviewed, but not random either.

Do I need a GitHub account? +

The analysis is entirely based on your public GitHub profile. No authentication required, no private data accessed. If your profile is sparse, the roast will reflect that.

Who can see my results? +

Only people with your unique share link. Results are not indexed or listed publicly. Share it proudly or keep it between you and the AI.

Can I get re-roasted? +

Yes. Once the 30-day cooldown has elapsed, you can submit your username again and get a fresh analysis. The results page shows your progress compared to the previous roast: score delta, changed signals, archetype shift.

What is the email field for? +

Completely optional. If you provide it, we'll send you one email when your re-roast window opens. No newsletter, no marketing, no follow-ups. Just a single nudge.

What is the README badge? +

An opt-in live badge you can embed in your GitHub README. It shows your current archetype and score, and links to your public results page. Enable it from your results page. Nothing is public until you do.

How long are results kept? +

Old analyses are automatically cleaned up after 30 days, but your most recent roast per username is always preserved, so your progress history and re-roast diff always work.
